Meghan McCain Is Joining the Cast of ‘The View’!

McCain’s co-host spot was rumored earlier in September, when resident conservative Jedediah Bila abruptly announced her exit from the ABC chatfest.

And it’s just been announced that Bila’s replacement will be former Fox News host, Meghan McCain.

The outlet is reporting Meghan has signed on to join Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Paula Faris, and Sara Haines starting in October. ABC declined to comment. The outlet notes that the show has been struggling since losing conservative-leaning Elisabeth Hasselbeck in 2013. John McCain – was diagnosed with brain cancer, McCain took five weeks off from the show.

Since creator Barbara Walters retired in May 2014, “The View” has been playing a game of musical chairs, enduring numerous talent changes.

Other members of The View’s Come-And-Gone Club: Rosie Perez, Michelle Collins, Candace Cameron Bure and Raven Symone.

The timing was flawless, as McCain, 32, announced last week she was leaving her Fox News gig. She first garnered media attention in 2007 for blogging about her experiences on the campaign trail when her father was running for president. Highly respected Republican strategist Nicolle Wallace was ill-suited for the show and much better suited for MSNBC/NBC News, where she’s tearing up the turf these days.
