Former Clemson QB Deshaun Watson donates first National Football League check to hurricane victims

Texans quarterback and Gainesville native Deshaun Watson noticed how much the damage affected employees at NRG stadium.

This was a classy gesture by Watson, and he’s not the only Texan helping the city to recover. “Anything else ya’ll need, I’m always here to help”.

He walked into the cafeteria and handed three women three separate envelopes. “So I wanted to give my first game check to y’all to help y’all out some type of way”.

Each woman gave Watson a hug and thanked him for his contribution. “Here you guys go”.

“Hopefully that’s good to get back on your feet”, Watson told the workers.

Many Texans players continue to donate time and resources to help those impacted by Harvey, most notably J.J. Watt’s relief fund, which has raised over $37 million.
