Ohio State Highway Patrol Investigates Quadruple Fatal Crash in Stark County

The accident remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 5:55 p.m. on State Route 43 in Lake Township.

Two men and two women were traveling northbound on SR 43 in a 2016 Dodge Challenger at an accelerated speed this afternoon. It then struck a large tree and burst into flames.

CHP officers said they had no information on how many passengers were in the vehicle or whether there were any injuries.

Four people, two men and two women, died after a fiery auto crash in Lake Township in Stark County on Sunday. At this time it’s not believed that drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash.

Upon positive identification of all occupants an updated media release will be provided.

The Stark County Coroner’s Office is working to identify the victims.
