Crashed east of Paulden Saturday, Sept. 23.
At about 11 a.m., the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office got a call about a missing aircraft based out of the Prescott airport.
According to a YCSO spokesperson, a search was initiated around noon after authorities learned that a single-engine Cessna had gone missing. Officials are working to recover their bodies and the Department of Public Safety is assisting. Reports indicated 2 men occupied the plane.
A sheriff’s office rescue helicopter set out looking for the missing plane and crew members spotted the wreckage several miles east of Paulden near Perkinsville Ranch.
