See First Trailer for 'George Michael: Freedom' Documentary

George Michael: Freedom airs October 21 at 9 p.m. ET.

Freedom” centers on the formative period in the musician’s life, leading up to and following the making of his album “Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1“.

Filmed before the singer’s passing last December, the doc features narration from Michael and never-before-seen archival and private home footage.

Freedom, which was worked on by George up until his tragic death on Christmas Day past year, will document the making of his hit 1990 album Listen Without Prejudice and the legal battle with his record label that ensued.

In addition, the five supermodels who starred in George’s iconic video for “Freedom ’90” – Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington, Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista and Tatjana Patitz – will discuss their experience making the clip, which was directed by David Fincher.

According to The Wrap, the documentary is set to be quite the star-studded affair, with appearances from Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Ricky Gervais, Nile Rogers, Mark Ronson and more.

Produced by Sony Music Entertainment UK, George Michael: Freedom was directed by George Michael and David Austin, and produced by Austin and Lisa Johnson.
