The search for missing B.C. filmmaker Twyla Roscovich is no longer ongoing, the Campbell River RCMP confirmed to Global News on Friday night. “No foul play is suspected”, the post states.

Roscovich was reported missing on September 12 at 9 p.m., six days after her last sighting, when she said she was heading down Vancouver Island to seek medical treatment, according to the RCMP.

According to the family, Roscovich’s body was discovered near Fisherman’s Wharf in Campbell River.

The family is requesting privacy at this time.

The post said a GoFundMe page will be setup for her four-year-old daughter. She was reported missing on September 12.

“We also wish to express our heartfelt appreciation for those who took part in search efforts, as well as all of those who reached out with concern and support over the last few days”, the post reads. “We request that her family’s privacy be respected at this hard time”.

“Twyla is so loved”.

She had last been seen on the morning of September 6, when she left Sointula for medical treatment.

Police said she sent a text message saying she would be camping near Nanaimo in her vehicle, but her auto was found in Campbell River with no sign of Roscovich.
