‘South Park’ Targets Tiki Torch Protestors In Season 21 Teaser

The long running Comedy Central animated series has never been afraid to speak out in a comedic way about the issues facing our nation, and the Season 21 premiere will be no different.

“Protestors armed with tiki torches and confederate flags take to the streets of South Park“.

In a preview for the season premiere “White People Renovating Houses”, the show depicts the tiki torch-wielding white supremacists and pro-Confederate marchers involved with the violence that took place in Charlottesville, VA.

South Park returns this week and its creators are pulling no punches, taking aim at USA white supremacists in the season premiere. What is not clear as of yet is the angle they are taking toward the nationalists. But as there was an actual victim in the Charlottesville attack, Heather Heyer, it’s unlikely that Trey and Stone will make light of the situation. This comes after the show’s previous season ended up gravitating around Donald Trump’s victory in the 2016 election.

Parker said he liked that Cartman got a girlfriend last season and that might stick, but it looks like Member Berries may be done.

The new season launches on Wednesday at 10 P.M. ET.
