A 22-year-old woman was arrested at 10:05 p.m. Friday following an assault between inmates in the jail.

August 30-Anne Korosa, 49, of the 6100 block of South Normandy Avenue, was arrested on the 1600 block of West 95th Street at 11:20 p.m. and charged with retail theft of merchandise worth less than $300, police said.

THEFT-Report Sunday of a theft of a tent and belongings from a campsite at BIR. He was released on a $1,500 I-bond at 9:45 a.m.

An assault with bodily injury-family violence was reported at 1:50 p.m. Monday in the 1400 block of Linda Lane.

A student was arrested for theft at the Illini Union Bookstore around 5 p.m. Monday.

August 31-A theft from a building was reported at a residence on the 1600 block of West 104th Street at 12:01 a.m., police said.

A partially burned wallet was found in a gutter and turned into police at 11:47 a.m. Monday.

A student was issued a state of IL notice to appear in court for retail theft at the Illini Union Bookstore around 5:30 p.m. Monday.

August 28-A theft of property worth over $500 was reported on the 11100 block of South Homewood Avenue at 5 p.m., police said.

Police received a report at 8:20 p.m. Monday from a resident in the 1100 block of Oakland Avenue that a person who had been banned from the property was repeatedly banging trash cans into their fence and knocking over cans.

August 27-A theft from a vehicle of property worth $500 or less was reported on the 10000 block of South Oakley Avenue at 3:15 a.m., police said. The BB Gun was retrieved.

August 22-An aggravated assault with a knife or cutting instrument was reported at a sidewalk on the 1500 block of West 103rd Street at 7 p.m., police said.

Possession of a controlled substance was reported at 8:15 a.m. Monday at the intersection of South 10th Street and Odom Drive.

Police received a report at 9:26 a.m. Saturday from the 600 block of South 16th Street that renters had threatened the home owner.

August 31-A theft of property worth over $500 was reported in a residential driveway on the 3200 block of West 107th Street at 2:30 p.m., police said.

An employee of Pepsi contacted police at 1:14 p.m. from Kmart to report a break-in attempt of a soda machine at the business.

ASSAULT-Report at 12:32 a.m. Sunday of an assault at BIR.

SUSPICIOUS-Report at 6:18 a.m. Monday of a vehicle parked at the landing at Whipple Beach Park, 14441 Oakwood Drive.

A 41-year-old man was arrested at 10:38 p.m. Sunday following a report of a man threatening people with a hammer on the 18000 block of Hartley Lake Road, Brainerd.

September 2-A theft of property worth $500 or less was reported at a residence on the 10700 block of South Drew Street at 11:30 p.m., police said.

A shoplifter was reported in custody at Wal-Mart at 2:57 p.m. Sunday.

Possession of unsafe drugs was reported at 1:37 a.m. Sunday in the 400 block of Farm-to-Market 2410.

An employe of the Casey’s General Store on South 42nd Street reported someone drove away without paying for $35 worth of fuel.

A vehicle was reported broken into and damaged inside while it was parked in the 800 block of Lamar Avenue at 5:18 p.m. Saturday.

September 7-Eugene McCullar, 27, of the 10100 block of South Beverly Avenue, was arrested on the 9900 block of South Vincennes Avenue at 5:04 p.m. and charged with simple assault, police said.

September 2-Louis Johnson, 29, of the 10200 block of South Charles Street, was arrested on the 9200 block of South Western Avenue at 12:20 a.m. and charged with criminal damage to property worth less than $300, police said. She was released at 5:45 a.m. on September 9.

September 2-Philip Turner, 30, of Harvey, was arrested on the 9200 block of South Western Avenue at 12:20 a.m. and charged with criminal damage to property worth less than $300, police said.

Report Sept. 6 of two possible suspicious males on Church Street.

Deputies received a report of forgery/fraud at 11:11 a.m. Monday from the 5600 block of North Spring Garden Lane, Bonnie. According to accident reports, his 2006 Chevy Trailblazer drifted off the road, ramped onto a driveway culvert and rolled, taking out two mailboxes.

ARREST-A 20-year-old man was arrested at 7:37 p.m. Saturday for contributing alcohol and other charges following a report of a male exiting a vehicle and drinking a beer on the 14000 block of Edgewood Drive.

A report of a stolen credit card was made at 7:24 a.m. Monday from Love’s Truck Stop.
