Police in Somerset, Kentucky said Tuesday that Dwight Mitchell Bell was found in Dandridge, Tennessee.
The post says 41-year old Dwight Mitchell Bell was arrested without incident on charges stemming from the theft of the murder victim’s vehicle, which was found in Indianapolis, Indiana. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department found the victim’s vehicle in a downtown parking lot at Shapiro’s Delicatessen near South Meridian and Sycamore streets.
Bell was wanted for stealing victim Ruthie Carolyn New’s auto and driving it to Indianapolis, where it was found abandoned.
According to Indianapolis Police, there was also an arrest warrant out for Bell in a separate strangulation case in New Castle, Indiana.
Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana released surveillance photos of Bell entering that store, noting that he entered from the north both times and left in the same direction after making a purchase. The 41-year-old had last been seen more than a week earlier at an Indianapolis gas station.
