Since the beginning of September many celebrities have made a visit to Dileep in his Aluva prison which includes Sreenivasan, Actor and MLA KB Ganesh Kumar, Jayaram, Harisree Ashokan, Kalabhavan Shajon, Sudheer, director Ranjith, script writer Benny P Nayarambalam, producers Antony Perumbavoor, MM Hamsa, Arun Ghosh and Bijoy Chandran.
On Saturday, during a press interaction, Sreenivasan jumped into the bandwagon of actors in the Malayalam film industry who have been openly supporting Dileep in the sensational case. He had claimed that Dileep would be proved innocent in no time, and that such an innocent man can not commit such crimes.
The incident comes after the soft stand the actor has taken favouring superstar Dileep, now in jail for the past two months in the abduction case of an actress. The actor has reportedly given his statement to the investigators, who handle the assault case of the popular South Indian actress.
Chandran said it was his stand against mimicry that provoked the actor.
“I am not ready to reveal all the details now and I have told the issues to the SIT ten days ago”.
He said that he was threatened by the star in the shooting location of the movie “Moz & Cat”, after which he started losing many opportunities. “I merely said that as someone who knew Dileep for so long, I don’t think he would commit such a heinous crime”, he clarified. The reports also say that the police would take Nadirsha into custody after this date. “So how can you bar only the people who make supporting statements”, he asked while talking to the media after his house was attacked.
