Selena Gomez Redefines What Strength Means in ‘Time’ Magazine

In an Instagram post (how appropriate!) sharing her new Time cover, Gomez further reflected on the honor, writing, “When I read about the lovely women who wake up consciously every day to make a change, it inspires me to want to do so much more”.

Included in the list: Selena Gomez, whose milestone 100 million-strong Instagram following landed her the title of The Tastemaker.

“When I read about the handsome women who wake up consciously every day to make a change, it inspires me to want to do so much more”, she added. I hope my fans learn who they are is lovely [and they] can connect with people by sharing what they’re feeling.

‘I think it’s really hard to be a kid now, especially with social media, ‘ she dished to Time. In the interview, Selena admitted she enjoys sharing her vulnerability with her fans on sites like Instagram and Twitter, because it allows her another way to connect with them. She was still in high school when she had me. But she made me feel like I was capable of doing anything I wanted, maybe because she didn’t have that opportunity, ‘ she stated.

Selena Gomez knows what it’s like to have big dreams, which is why she’s joining the fight to keep others from losing theirs! I like that they have seen my mistakes. “I think strength is being vulnerable”. The pop singer now has over 126 million Instagram followers and is known to use the social media platform to connect with her fans, as well as bring awareness to various social causes.
