Officials across South Georgia have started to issue curfews ahead of Hurricane Irma.
Winds are expected to pick up on Sunday evening and peak around 2 a.m. Monday, according to forecasts.
The curfew will last until 6 p.m. Monday, officials said.
The Town of Melbourne Beach has a curfew from 7:30 p.m. Sunday through 7 a.m. Monday.
Marion County: No curfew has been issued, although Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods asked residents Saturday to restrict driving beginning Sunday at 3 p.m. because of high winds.
Lake County: 7 p.m. Sunday through 6 p.m. Monday.

Exempt from the the curfew does not apply to emergency responders, health care employees in area facilities, and essential staff at organizations providing relief services or those seeking medical assistance.
