According to the Civil Rights Act of 1964, denying service to customers on the basis of race, color, religion or national origin is illegal.

Charisha (left with her daughter) said she felt as though she was being punished for being pregnant. “I didn’t even have cleavage showing”, Gobin told the station.

‘It’s entirely unusual I was disgraced in any case and needed to drive crosswise over town to eat.

The woman feels her protruding belly was only part of the reason she was singled out, claiming the fact she was exposing a heavily pregnant belly also contributed to the embarassing encounter. “Pregnancy is a lovely thing but exposing yourself this way in public, especially in a restaurant is just so completely and totally inappropriate!” said one Facebook user.

“I was pregnant and lived in an area where it was 45C on the daily”.

Her post on social media has hundreds of shares, and Gobin said the response has been overwhelmingly positive. “She’s gets no sympathy from me”. Gobin mentioned that she didn’t have any problems at the next restaurant she and her family visited that night.

‘We earnestly apologize for the misconception and will cover with all staff in the matter of how to not excessively authorize a decide that is proposed to influence all visitors to feel great.

Others said: “While at a restaurant I don’t want see anyone’s belly, man or woman, pregnant or not”.

Buzz Inn were forced to issue a statement later, saying the employee was “trying to use her best judgement”, before issuing an apology for the “misunderstanding”. “The server in question has been with our company and a great employee for nearly 20 years and was trying to use her best judgement (sic) and by no means was trying to be demeaning to the guest again our honest apology for misunderstanding”, it said.
