Seahawks trying to trade Jermaine Kearse

The Seattle Seahawks (3-0) will be facing the Oakland Raiders (0-3) on Thursday in their final preseason game of the year. Darboh has certainly had impressive moments in camp and is unlikely to lose his spot, but McEvoy has at least been making a case through a strong performance in the third preseason game (two catches for 43 yards and a touchdown) and a solid training camp. That teams know 1,184 players will become available on Saturday may not make a trade easy – teams could just wait to see if the Seahawks waive Kearse.

Kearse, though, also earned high praise from Carroll following Friday’s 26-13 win over Kansas City which Kearse helped spearhead with an early 39-yard reception from Wilson – the longest offensive play of the exhibition season for the Seahawks.

Clark is coming off of a 10-sack season up front for Seattle and any extended absence would be a blow to the team’s pass rushing depth heading into the regular season. “We think he is going to be”.

Wide receiver Tyler Lockett isn’t expected to make an appearance this preseason. The wide receiver has worked hard this offseason to recover from the broken leg that ended his 2016 season. “There’s a lot of good football players here and so we’ll just try to figure it out and do the best we can and do that”, Carroll said. “We will see next week where we are”. It’s the same procedure that linebackers K.J. Wright and D.J. Alexander had recently.

Some have wondered if the 15 who would have been released this week would be better off getting a head start on signing with a new team since they are still likely to be released following the fourth game.
