Jose Mourinho aims dig at Arsenal after Man United victory

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has revealed that he will soon give game to the club’s fringe players such as Andreas Pereira.

The Scot retired in May 2013 after helping United win the 20 league title. Nevertheless, it is worth remembering that the Red Devils struggled in similar encounters last term, particularly at Old Trafford; Mourinho will therefore be delighted with the comprehensive nature of their triumphs so far, even if the bulk of their goals have tended to arrive late in games.

And Mourinho could not help but mention Arsenal and their 4-3 win over Leicester when asked about how his team managed to claim victory over the Foxes at the weekend.

“The squad is good and the mentality of the players is very good too”.

Ibrahimovic should be chomping at the bit by then, with the “natural born animal” ready to be unleashed once more on Premier League and Champions League defences.

“Was he risky today? No”. So, as you know, against Basel Jones and Eric are both suspended, so against Basel we will play Victor and Smalling and no problem at all.

“[Were] Leicester very risky against Arsenal?“.

“They might not have played the minutes they would have liked so far, but they are all being very patient and waiting for their opportunity to become important for the team”.

“You’ve got to compete against them and do well against them, but I am quite confident that the boys can do that this year and we can compete against the best”.

Andy Cole says rekindling the fear factor at Old Trafford is key to Manchester United’s hopes of winning the Premier League.

The Red Devils, who finished sixth and won the Europa League last season, will return to top flight action after the worldwide break when they take on Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium on Saturday 9 September.
