Arsenal has rejected a 50 million pound bid from English Premier League rivals Manchester City for forward Alexis Sanchez.
Sports reports that a fee in the region of £90m had reportedly been agreed between the Gunners and Monaco for the 21-year-old France global.
“Were Arsenal able to get Lemar, they would have been inclined to take the £60m from City for Sanchez”. But there appears to be insufficient time for Arsenal to now agree a package with Lemar, particularly as he is in the France squad for this evening’s game against Holland – which kicks off in about three hours.
Another of the group, Aaron Ramsey, posted a message on Instagram which looked to query the decision to sell. Now, with Gabriel and Oxlade-Chamberlain out the door, the matter is more pressing.
“Had some great memories over the years playing along side you and I wish you all the best with this new chapter in your life?#theOX#shaaambles”.
Perez returned to previous side Deportivo for the season while Costa Rica worldwide Campbell signed a similar deal with Real Betis.
He has entered the final year on his contract at Arsenal and could walk away for free next summer. And Arsenal needed one or two more top-quality signings.
