Miranda Lambert Deploys MuttNation Foundation to Help Animals in Hurricane Harvey

A native of Lindale, Texas, which is located about 200 miles north of Houston, Lambert founded the MuttNation Foundation in 2009 with her mom, Bev.

Lambert, along with her MuttNation Foundation team, is now stationed in Conroe, Texas, where she’s working tirelessly to rescue any poor dogs who were caught in the storm.

Country-music singer and animal lover Miranda Lambert is yet another celeb taking action to help those affected by Hurricane Harvey. Plus any other support we can offer! Lady A, meanwhile, donated proceeds from merchandise sales at their Saturday night (Aug. 26) concert in Dallas, Texas, to relief efforts. Lambert thanked the transportation volunteers for helping rescue the dogs and sending them to a shelter in Oklahoma. Stay tuned tomorrow and continue to pray.

The group was back at it first thing Wednesday morning, sharing another photo and writing, “Good morning from Texas! Our second day on the ground has started!” wrote MuttNation on Instagram.

Since Hurricane Harvey made landfall in Texas last Friday, at least 17 people have died.
