Empowering Star Wars Force Friday video puts Rey front and center

Cinemania Mozimánia has unveiled the cover for their upcoming issue featuring a new image of Luke Skywalker in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is the second film in the new Star Wars sequel trilogy that began with Star Wars: The Force Awakens in 2015.

With Force Friday nearly upon us, pics of The Last Jedi’s upcoming toy line surfacing on Reddit reveal the new Storm Trooper in question is officially called the First Order Judicial, a black and white armor-clad executioner tasked with doling out death to traitors with an electrically-charged axe.

Are you excited to learn more about Luke Skywalker’s tragic past?

This one is a little less interesting, but we’ll take any new images of Rey that we can get at this point.

When we last saw Mark Hamill in the “Star Wars” saga, he was a mysterious hooded figure on a jagged, remote island off the coast of Ireland.

We know Luke Skywalker doesn’t give Rey a warm welcome when she arrives on Ahch-To and he’s reluctant to get involved with the fight against the First Order. Much of the criticism came from young female Star Wars fans, like the viral letter written by an 8-year-old girl asking why Hasbro’s Force Awakens Monopoly game didn’t include a Rey token.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi will make cartel dollars when it hits theaters December 15, 2017.
