Bucks set for “Return to the MECCA”

While the unassuming Parker was typically understated, Bucks fans on Twitter had some more animated opinions on the Classic Edition uniform.

All 30 NBA teams will have four primary uniforms next season, including the “Association” and “Icon” editions, as well as one inspired by the athlete’s mindset, and another representing the communities that support their teams.

“Return to the MECCA” will be the first time the Bucks have hosted a regular season home game off-site in Wisconsin since they played three regular season home games in Madison during the 1974-75 season.

The Milwaukee Bucks announced on Tuesday, August 29th the team will take on the Boston Celtics on Thursday, October 26th at 7:00 p.m. for the “Return to the MECCA” game. The historic matchup marks a chance for the Bucks to get revenge on the Celtics for a memorable 1988 loss in their last season at the MECCA.

The new-but-retro Nike jersey, a modern take on Milwaukee’s original uniform from 1968, will be worn on select dates throughout the season and is a fitting choice for the franchise’s celebratory 50th anniversary.

Milwaukee’s special edition uniforms also include the Harley-Davidson patch which will be featured on all of their uniforms in the upcoming season.

In their 20 seasons at MECCA, the Bucks won an NBA Championship and played many playoff series – some again the Celtics.
