Late-night TV host and comedian Conan O’Brien dined with Israel’s “top dog” Monday evening at the Prime Minister’s Residence in Jerusalem, lauding the attributes of Israeli dogs over their USA counterparts while discussing Middle Eastern affairs and local cuisine with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara.
Two days later, both Netanyahu and Trump are to address the United Nations General Assembly. The schedule of the entire trip – including the possible meeting with Trump – has not yet been finalized. However, a senior Israeli official said that the Prime Minister’s Office is already engaged in efforts with the White House to set a time and place for such a meeting.
“In the recent years, I usually meet Russian President Vladimir Putin to ensure, above all, our interests and security on our northern border”.
Following his meeting with Trump, Netanyahu will return to Israel in time for the Rosh Hashanah holiday.
During a joint press conference following the first meeting, Trump told Netanyahu that he must show flexibility to prove he wants peace with the Palestinians.
