Hwy. 6 between Lindsay Rd 30 and Miller Lake Rd were closed for several hours Saturday night while investigators tried to determine how the collision occurred.
Three people have died and four others injured in a crash on the Bruce Peninsula.
The initial investigation by OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators reveal that the Charger was being driven erratically southbound on Highway 6 when it collided head-on with a northbound sports utility vehicle. The impact resulted in the SUV catching fire.
All four passengers in the passenger vehicle were transported to area hospitals.
The passengers inside the vehicle were injured. The names of the driver and passenger of the SUV, who both died at the scene, are being withheld pending identification and notification of next-of-kin. An adult female and male passenger sustained serious injuries, another adult female sustained non-life threatening injuries, and a 39-year old male was airlifted to a London hospital in critical condition.
