Nepal’s Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba says it is nothing unnatural to let the worldwide community know about national priorities of Nepal. The Prime Minister said that he also held discussion with Modi about completing the detailed project report of 5,000 MW Pancheshwar multipurpose project within a month, according to the daily.
With the prime minister’s assertion to maintain harmonious relations with India, China must worry about it, he said.
Deuba has been widely criticised for his remarks made during a joint press conference with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi on Thursday in New Delhi, where he expressed his commitment to amending the constitution in future.
The PM said he had raised all the pressing bilateral issues with Indian officials, ranging from floods to implementation of the understandings reached in the past with India.
Saying agreement has been reached to forward construction of transmission line in new places, he said that Nepal and India have agreed for development of power and tourism sectors and forwarding big projects.
The two leaders also discussed 900 MW Arun-3 and Upper Karnali hydropower projects.
Nepali Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba embarked on a five-day state visit to India on Wednesday.
Principal Secretary-IT and Industries, Jayesh Ranjan took Mr. Deuba around the Infosys facility and also the T-Hub, the incubation facility of the Telangana government and showed him around, also explaining the various initiatives being taken by the Telangana Government.
A day after his return from India, Deuba said while addressing the Parliament on Monday: “I have mentioned nothing about the internal matters of the country but the global community should know what is happening in Nepal”.
