A auto returning to Dhule from Ahmednagar collided with a van and seconds later a motorcyle and a bus of the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) crashed into the accident spot yesterday, said Dr Rahul Khade, Deputy Superintendent of Police. According to police sources, nine people were killed. The accident took place around 1:45 a.m. amidst heavy rain on Monday. The incident happened in the jurisdiction of Narayangaon police. It was parked near the divider on Pune-Nashik highway. There were 32 people on board, of which 16 were injured. “Six passengers escaped with minor injuries”, said an officer from Narayangoan police station.
